Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and buddy. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
01The service
buddy is a platform for building, running and sharing AI agents. You can give an agent an identity, supply it with knowledge, connect tools, and publish it as a chat link or an embeddable widget. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops.
02Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country.
03Acceptable use
You agree not to use buddy, or let your agents be used, to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property.
- Generate or distribute malware, spam, harassment or illegal content.
- Impersonate a person or organisation in a deceptive way.
- Probe, abuse or disrupt the platform, or evade rate limits and security controls.
- Collect sensitive personal data through an agent without a lawful basis and proper notice.
You must give your own visitors any disclosures required by law, and make clear they are talking to an AI agent.
04Your content
You keep ownership of the agent configuration, knowledge and other content you bring to buddy (your content). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process and display it so we can run the service for you — including sending relevant context to the model providers that generate agent responses. You're responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.
05AI output
Agent responses are generated by language models and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. Output is provided "as is" and is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing agent output before relying on it or putting an agent in front of customers.
06Plans and payment
buddy is in public beta and currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans in future; if we do, we'll give notice and you can choose whether to continue on a paid plan. Beta features may change or be discontinued.
07Availability
We work to keep buddy available and reliable, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis. During beta there may be downtime, interruptions and changes without notice.
08Suspension and termination
You can stop using buddy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for the platform or other users, or to comply with the law. On termination your right to use the service ends and we may delete your content as described in the Privacy Policy.
09Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, buddy is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use buddy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
